MISSION STATEMENT
My mission is to value the time I spend with my family and friends, as well as value the time I spend helping people in my community. In the future, I hope to build a career in engineering where I will be able to accomplish great things and pursue my passion for helping others. Through pursuing this career, along with building positive relationships with friends and family, I hope to lead a satisfying, successful life.
ABOUT ME
My name is Samra Mujcinovic and I am a senior at Sport and Medical Sciences Academy. I have been attending SMSA since 6th grade. I live in Hartford and have lived here ever since my parents immigrated to the U.S. from Bosnia. I am very grateful for my parents and the hard work they have put in for me to have a better life. They are the ones who taught me that it’s important to be there for each other and look out for one another. Growing up, I’ve always been taught how important the value of my education is. Even though I barely knew any English when I first started school, I motivated myself to learn and work harder, for both my sake and my parents’. As I continued to discover a new found love for learning, I found myself enjoying math and science courses more than anything else. So for my capstone project, I am educating people on the science behind following COVID - 19 guidelines, so that, hopefully, we can learn to take better care of each other and better protect our family and friends.
